According to reports, Trump’s Social Media App will go live on President’s Day

Donald Trump is surely one of the personalities who are way ahead when it comes to being in the limelight. He has been in news for his false statements during his presidency where he took various steps to hinder ACA and has done much to be in the news. This time it is for the launch of his app ‘Truth Social’ is expected to be released today that is 21^st of February in Apple’s App Store. It was proclaimed by him too, be released “to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech”.

It is an attempt to subsist by the means of social media when he was deterred by some social media platforms. It is President’s Day holiday in the US. Devin Nunes is the CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group spoke to the media and informed them about Truth Social. He stated, ”I think, by the end of March, we’re going to be fully operational”. According to some sources due to certain issues, the app was set to release in March due to the questioning of Trump’s SPAC deal by the Security and Exchange Commission.

It is said to be an important substitute where people won’t be denied their voice and access to the app. He has been accused of provoking violence and inducing people through his tweets and posts on social media.

People were allowed to pre-order the app. The users faced some setbacks due to the mandate registering. It is set to compete with other social media apps where some of the recent platforms faced difficulty to survive in the market. According to the figures it has $1.5 billion in funding.

About Truth Social

Firstly the notifications about the app were given by Trump’s eldest son Donald Jr on February 15th, 2022 via a tweet where he shared a screenshot of his father’s verified account of his app Trust Social. It was one post or truth that he posted on February 14^th. It is modeled and somewhat parallels Twitter in functions and uses. Although, it lacks the edit feature, which is an important element of the app to amend posts.

Also the app is currently being conforming to the feature of direct messaging, notification bar, and user validation policy. It is designed to connect with a larger number of users. It was assessed and tested on an open-source software Mastodon. It is the same agency that has charged The Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) of violating their AGPLv3 license as it failed to share the platform’s source code. The company has negotiated formally with Truth social to follow the company’s software license policy.

On November 21^st, 2021 Truth Social disclosed its Zip file on its authorized website. TMTG has collaborated with Rumble for delivering cloud services to the Truth Social beta website. According to various experts, it can be a successful and better-running alt-tech among distinct social media platforms such as Parler and Gab in the business.
