The popular Jodi of the ’90s will be once again be seen on the big screen after decades. We are talking about Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon who will once again share the screen space in the much-awaited Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2. But this time they will be sharing a screen of a Kannada action-drama movie named ‘KGF Chapter 2’.The movie is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films.
As an interesting point to note, KGF Chapter 2 is the much-talked-about sequel to the 2018 release period drama action film starring Yash. Moreover, Raveena had also shared a throwback picture with Sanjay and captioned it, “My most favorite actor”. According to the latest update, Sanjay and Raveena will work together once again after KGF Chapter 2, but this time for comedy.
An article in Mid Day reports that a new director will be helming the comedy drama. A leading studio was financing the project at the time, which was in its ideation stage. They believed they would make the perfect choice for the comedy after seeing the picture. An anonymous source reported that the actors had been approached again about working together. It doesn’t end there, however. In addition, the source said that the stars are waiting for a final draft before signing the project, but the movie will likely be announced by February.
Raveena is also eagerly awaiting the release of KGF Chapter 2 after the success of the first part of KGF. “We are currently living in a very unexpected situation. The theaters had reopened and the audience will also be going to the cinema to watch films, but the new wave has slowed down things again. I am equally excited about KGF 2. I have had previously worked in a Telugu film Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda which featured Vishnu and Mohanji and I had a good time. I had fun doing this film as well. I really enjoy working with Prashanth (Neel, the director). I had the honor of working with Yash because he was so down-to-earth and gentlemanly.
Sanjay Dutt also appears as an antagonist in the film, Tandon’s long-time co-star. The actor reveals that unfortunately, she doesn’t have any scenes with him. In the movie, Sanjay and I will not share screen space. We thought we would have a blast working together just like old times. We also never shared shooting schedules.
As a matter of fact, we asked Prashant if something could be arranged, but the script didn’t allow for that.
