The actress is now ready to share the screen again alongside Akshay Kumar in their upcoming film “Raksha Bandhan.”
The Bollywood star wished Bhumi with two stills from their soon-to-release film and a heartfelt note. Bhumi took to Instagram and replied to the actor with her story. On the other hand, several actors like Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor also wished Bhumi her birthday.
Bhumi And Her Birthday Celebrations
Actress Bhumi Pednekar is obsessed with her birthdays and the celebrations and admitted that her family is under immense pressure to celebrate her birthday and make it special. The actress said that “this year would be a working birthday for me as I will be promoting my film. Unfortunately, I won’t be with my family.” Usually, her family is always there with her while she’s busy with her work. The actress also said that she loves working and she wouldn’t mind having a working birthday.
The actress who turned 33 on July 18 isn’t worried about age as a factor that could be fret in her career to which she said “Age is just a number. Today you have actors who are married and doing phenomenal films. The narrative for women has changed. I don’t think we have a shelf life, because such diverse characters are being written.” She also added that it’s a good time for actors. She is very happy with the things and the kind of work she’s doing and the work that is about to come out in the following months.
Raksha-Bandhan
Bhumi is currently promoting her film “Raksha Bandhan” opposite her Toilet-Ek Prem Katha co-star Akshay Kumar in London. The film is directed by Anand L Rai. She will be playing the love interest of Akshay who wants to marry him but the former wants his sisters to get married first. The film is a complete family drama and is all set to hit the big screens on August 11, 2022.
Upcoming Projects
Lady Killer
With her upcoming projects, the actress will be seen in “Lady Killer” and will be sharing the screen with Arjun Kapoor in Ajay Bahl’s romantic thriller. A few weeks ago Arjun and Bhumi wrapped the schedule of the film’s shoot in Himachal Pradesh. By announcing their wrap on “Lady Killer” Arjun Kapoor shared a post on Instagram.
Govinda Naam Mera
Bhumi will also be seen in the comedy thriller “Govinda Naam Mera” directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film will feature Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. While Vicky will be playing the role of Govinda Waghmare Bhumi will be playing his wife and Kiara as his girlfriend.
Bheed
With a social drama, Bhumi will feature in “Bheed” alongside Rajkumar Rao. The film is slated to release in theatres on November 18, 2022.
Bhakshak
Inspired by true events against the crime against women the actress will be seen playing a feisty journalist in “Bhakshak” a drama. The actress wrapped the shoot for the film earlier this year. The film is directed by Pulkit and produced by Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Afwaah
With a quirky thriller, Bhumi will also be sharing screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in “Afwaah” a thriller.
