Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Box office collection report

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released on 6th May having cinemas fully jammed with MCU fans from all over the nation. With the release now, the box office numbers were expected to be a bit higher than previous MCU movies, but it’s still lagging some numbers behind Spider-Man No way home currently on the charts of the Day 1 release.

Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen has been the most anticipated film of the year 2022. With the fans’ excitement alone for the movie, the pre-booked sales of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness went to approximately 20 crores in India.

The issue may well be slower movement on the day as advance for this film has been open for almost a month so a lot will be baked into the advance also it may not have the mass patronage of the Avengers movies or Spiderman films which may keep the film 30 crore net.”  And they predicted it quite precisely as The multiverse of Madness comes near the 30 crores budget with 29 crores earned by the end of its first day of opening.

It is also a question to ponder if Doctor Strange will cross the box office rates of Spider-Man with such high numbers in comparison.  While globally other than the United States, MCU movies land on top in Asia and European countries like Germany, Italy, and France. It has also gathered MCU likeliness across Australia and South Korea.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a great direction by Sam Raimi, who made the movie captivating enough with its imaginative plotline to hold down fans’ retention, as the fans were hooked throughout the movie with its parallel dimension pieces in 3D view.

If this movie is up against DC’s Batman, it surely is doing far good than Batman’s opening numbers. On the opposite hand, though the film Multiverse of Madness was released on a workday, it still managed to collect a decent quantity of tickets as compared to No Way Home. The sole question that comes up is to visualize if Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness beats the box office collection of Spider-Man No Way Home, and as the trade experts say, there are high chances to see it happening.

Now, one can only wait to see if the charts of Doctor Strange go on the high grossing list of movies in the MCU after Spider-Man’s No Way Home. Coming to the ratings and reviews of this movie, it has got a score of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes and has a rating of 7.6 stars on IMBd. 

The film has been released on the 6th of May across the entire globe. And it is also available in languages – English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu, and Kannada.
