The 74th Emmy Awards will be held on September 12, 2022, in Los Angeles. On Tuesday, the complete list of nominations was announced. The nominees were announced by Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove, the duo will also be seen in an upcoming Netflix comedy. After the COVID-19 two-year break, the event will be held in person this year, but the panels would be held virtually. The awards will be produced by Done+Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment and will air on NBC and Peacock at 5 p.m. PT. Hamish Hamilton will be directing the three-hour-long event.
Some veterans and some newcomers are joining the list. Succession and Ted Lasso are back in the nominations with the newcomers like Squid Game. The South-Korean series makes history with 14 nominations including the nomination for ‘Outstanding Drama Series, making it the first non-English language series to be nominated in this particular category.
