Farhan Akhtar, and Shibani Dandekar’s Wedding

On February 19, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar married in a small ceremony in Khandala.

On Saturday, Farhan Akhtar, a Bollywood actor, and director married Shibani Dandekar, an actor, and host, in a private ceremony in Khandala. In a photo of the newlyweds, Shibani is wearing a red gown and Farhan is wearing a black suit. Hrithik Roshan and his family, director Ashutosh Gowariker, and composer Ehsaan Noorani gathered at the spot earlier in the day for the wedding ceremony.

A video from the wedding has gone viral on social media. Farhan-Shibani and Hrithik Roshan can be seen dancing to Shankar Mahadevan’s ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ title track, which was performed at the occasion. Shibani appeared to be in good spirits in a series of photos, as though she was enjoying every moment.

On Saturday morning, Shibani took to Instagram to share a photo of her wedding heels with the message, “Let’s do this.”

On Thursday, Farhan and Shibani had a Mehendi and sangeet ceremony in Mumbai. Friends and family members of the bride danced to ‘Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna’ in videos from the ceremony. Rhea Chakraborty and Anushka Dandekar were spotted during the ceremony posing for the cameras.

In an interview with ETimes, Farhan’s father, acclaimed writer Javed Akhtar, confirmed the wedding. Due to the epidemic, the lyricist-writer stated that the wedding will be a simple event. Javed further mentioned that Shibani and his family got along swimmingly.

Farhan and Shibani made their first public appearance together in 2018 at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding reception in Mumbai. Since then, the couple has been fairly open about their love for each other, as proven by their frequent Instagram posts of each other. On her birthday in 2021, Shibani received a tattoo of Farhan’s name on her neck.

Shibani and Farhan have a strong bond with each other’s families, and they are frequently seen together at celebrations and festivals. Farhan Akhtar formerly married Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he has two daughters. Farhan and Adhuna divorced in 2017, and their daughters are now co-parenting.
