At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios have unveiled the Phase 4 and Phase 5 lineups proving that they won’t be going anywhere so that their haters could take a backseat after the criticism they faced with their recent slew of Marvel projects.
There will be a lot to look forward to in the coming years starting with the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, to Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Loki Season 2, Thunderbolts, Echo, and many more including the upcoming 2 Avengers films.
Marvel held a 90-minute-long animation panel at Hall H San Diego ComicCon on 23rd July 2022 revealing a rollout of the series planned for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige led the door to what’s next for the MCU- Phase 4 which ended in the upcoming sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Phase 5 will begin with The Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.
It surprised everyone around by expanding the universe with upcoming films and series. The panel also gave 5 big announcements about its animated franchise which include I Am Groot, X-Men’97, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, Marvel Zombies, and Marvel What If…?
Marvel revealed the trailer of I Am Groot which is slated to release on August 10 and the Guardians of Galaxy spin-off which comprises five animated shorts which focus on Groot, who is seen getting into alien-related trouble in his adorable baby form.
With no trailer yet with the announcement of Spiderman: The Freshman Year show is slated to release in 2024 on Disney Plus which will focus on SpiderMan’s first year in high school. The show will also feature Charlie Cox as Daredevil. It will also receive its second season, which will be called Spider-Man: Sophomore Year. What If?
Marvel show that imagines the timeline of some of Marvel’s most iconic characters will be having two more seasons. The Season 2 of the show will be arriving in early 2023 for the Disney Plus subscribers. The show has also received its confirmation of a third season.
Marvel’s Phase 4 ending and Captain America 4 Announcement
Phase 4 had an immense beginning with its WandaVision. It brought forth several new heroes in the Marvel Franchise that tasted huge success while some did not find their footing.
However, the rocky phase 4 is now coming to an end with its upcoming, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The trailer was released recently. Wakanda Forever will be in theatres in November 2022.
Along with it, Captain America 4: New World Order has now been announced with Anthony Mackie taking on the shield. The film is slated to release on May 3, 2024.

With the announcement of the Phase 5 lineup, the makers have also given some tea about phase 6 wherein there will be an MCU reboot of the Fantastic Four. It will be making its way to the theatres on November 8, 2024.
Adding on, there will be two more upcoming titles for phase 6 including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arriving on May 2, 2025, and Avengers: Secret Wars releasing on November 7, 2025.
