The Video Music Awards took place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on August 28.

MTV VMAs 2022: See the Complete List of Winners

It’s a star-studded night for the music industry as the  VMAs have finally arrived. The event was co-hosted by Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow, & LL Cool J. Pop Queen Nicki Minaj took home the Video Vanguard award this year and the Global Icon Award went to Red Hot Chilli Peppers. 

The big night had performances from the industry’s favorite artists: Anitta, Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Ryan Castro, BLACKPINK, Kane Brown, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg, Marshmello and Khalid, Lizzo, Måneskin, and Panic! at the Disco. Snoop and Slim Shady brought the metaverse to the Prudential Center, as they performed half of their song in Bored Ape avatars.

Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow received the most nominations with seven each. While Doja Cat & Harry Styles follow with six only next to Drake, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, the Weeknd & Ed Sheeran scoring 5 nominations each.
