The King is back! This seems to be the sentiment of one and all, with the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan trailer on January 10. A slick Yash Raj Films production in what is now known as the YRF Spy Universe, Pathaan seems like just the kind of film audiences have been waiting for — not just the fans of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, but in general people who love action films or spy thrillers.
What is Pathaan about?
When we see the trailer of Pathaan, its plot is hardly something that interests us. It is more about the swag of King Khan, and how he will be back to enthral us! Plus the beauty of Deepika Padukone and the style of action star John Abraham. The film synopsis reads: ‘Somewhere in the dystopian Middle East, grand houses that once housed the wealthy are now homes of the city’s most-dangerous criminals. An undercover cop, his ex-con, and others will take down the drug lord who killed his own father.’
Unmissable swag of SRK, Deepika and John
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra and Alexander Dostal for YRF, Pathaan has SRK in a never-seen-before action avatar. We just couldn’t take our eyes off him in the trailer! Also, finally the trolls can see that Deepika Padukone is not just an objectified siren like in the controversial song Besharam Rang. It is clear that her seductive dance must be an undercover act, as she works side-by-side with Pathaan on a mission. And John Abraham as SRK’s nemesis in Pathaan makes the onscreen proceedings more delicious to the eye.
If you have loved the Tiger series of films of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif i.e. Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and War (2019) starring Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff, you will surely be intrigued by the Pathaan trailer. Audiences are giving positive reviews on social media, after the initial negative hashtags for Besharam Rang and Boycott Pathaan.
We don’t know about you, but we are surely watching Pathaan on the big screen, first day first show on Wednesday, January 25! Grab ’em tickets as soon as the advance booking window for Pathaan opens. This film is surely made for the big screen!
