Prince Plot
The village casts out Anbu(Sivakarthikeyan) for a ‘mistake’ along with his father Ulaganathan(Sathyaraj), who in addition to that also wants to disown his son. This is where the movie goes into flashback and shows Anbu and Jessica’s (Maria Ryaboshapka) romantic affair.
Ulaganathan is shown as a character who is against every type of discrimination and is thrilled to discover that his son has chosen a girl of different nationality. However, his joy turns into disappointment when he finds out that she is a British woman.
Anbu is shown as an irregular school teacher who started going regularly when a British woman named Jessica joins the faculty and that’s where their story starts The rest of the plot revolves around Anbu convincing his father as well as his in-laws for their marriage.
Review
The movie plays to Director Anudeep’s strengths as more practical jokes and humour appear in a silly simple way on the screen. The quirkiness of the characters is well played into the story and that’s what makes it a clean comedy. Although not all of the jokes hit right and most of them are scattered along the storyline, the performance of the characters keeps the viewers interested in the story.
The Film is more self-aware with a social message to deliver, how people are still stuck in a different mindset from the past and lack empathy. The actors are mostly making fun of themselves and their previous work in a more playful yet supportive way.

Anbu’s expressions and one-liners work well as Sivakarthikeyan plays this best on screen. Songs like Bimbiiki pilapi are shown very picturesquely by Manoj Paramahamsa. Sivakarthikeyan and Maria’s energetic dance moves are also something the viewers definitely gonna like.
Some of the best scenes in the movie are one in the Police station with one silly joke after another and the Monologue delivered by the lead character in the climax of the movie is impressive.
Prince comes with a message to change the mindset of people into not considering ‘Us’ and ‘them’ but rather ‘all of us under one umbrella. The Movie plays into Anudeep’s strengths and capabilities as an absurd comedy.
The movie premiered on the 21st Oct morning when Sivakarthikeyan was seen along with his fans at Rohini Silver Screens theatre in Chennai. A video that went viral had the actor enjoying and dancing to his hit song Bimbilikki Pilapi in the theatre.
