All the films are made with great effort where the entire team puts in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to complete the film, which is a victory of its own but then the greatest moment and triumph for the film is to break the record of the box office collection and set a new benchmark.
RRR is a 2022 (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram in Telugu) Indian Telugu epic period action drama movie directed by SS Rajamouli who has written the film with K.V. Vijayendra Prasad. It is starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR is in the leading role and Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
Attack sci-fi action Indian Bollywood drama was directed by Lakshya Raj Anand starring John Abraham, Jaqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet, and Prakash Raj released on 1st April 2022.
And the Hollywood anticipated sony marvel film Morbius was directed by Daniel Espinosa and is starring Jared Leto and Matt Smith which too released on 1st April.
Let’s look into the box office collection that these 3 movies have collected so far
Attack
This film looked promising but it seems that it has started its journey on a disappointing and dull note which doesn’t seem to have found the audience but its unique concept was very much appreciated. John revealed that 30% is spent on the film’s visuals and 15 crores on the budget and with the printing and advertising a total of 55 crores was spent on the film. According to the estimates, on Friday which was its opening day, the film had collected around Rs 2.85 to 3.15 crore which is below the conservative prediction. And even on the second day, the movie hasn’t shown any drastic growth and has generated 3.5 crores despite a holiday on Saturday.
Maybe in the coming days, there will be some positive signs for the movie but if it doesn’t then “Attack” will have hazy days at the box office.
Morbius
Because of the delay in the release of the film, the audience was exciting to watch this comic book-based film. But despite the delay, the movie has got some terrible reviews where people have called it a mediocre and predictable movie. It’s holding a 17% rating on the rotten tomatoes from the critics. And the audience has given it a C+cinema score.
Sony shelled out a cool $75 million for Morbius’s budget. This film has earned $57 million from Thursday night of its preview screenings. On the first day of box office collection, it collected $13 million. And on its second day, it didn’t see much height either and generated $20 million, a total of $30 million from 4,200 theatres in its opening weekend. If Morbius performs the same or above estimates in its 4-day run, it will have recouped almost two-thirds of its budget which becomes a lucrative venture for sony.
RRR
And last but not least “RRR” has been breaking records at the box office. Movies like Attack and Morbius faced tough competition from SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR which was storming its way into the box office. But RRR didn’t face any competition with these new releases. Around 20 crores (200 million) was spent on this film. In just a week of its release, RRR has generated over 700 crores worldwide, and in India alone, it collected 560 crores and is expected to cross 200 crores this week which is a massive achievement and worth celebrating. Today it has crossed 800 Cr gross in the WW box office.
