The 21-year-old Sini Shetty becomes the winner of Miss India 2022. The star-studded event took place at Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai on Sunday. She was crowned by Manasa Varanasi, Miss India World 2020. This also means that Shetty will be representing the 71st Miss World.
Also, Rubal Shekhawat, from Rajasthan, was crowned the first runner up and Uttar Pradesh’s Shinta Chauhan was declared the second runner-up of Femina Miss India 2022.

Sini Shetty is 21 years old and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, and is also currently pursuing a professional course called Chartered Financial Analyst. Born in Mumbai, she descends from Karnataka, representing the state in the pageant. At the age of fourteen, she completed Arangetram in Bharatanatyam. She has also worked in a marketing company, reportedly.

The event was filled with astonishing performances with aspirants from different parts of the country competing for the title of Miss India. The whole pageant took place in two phases – virtually and on the ground, due to the COVID-19 protocols. This year’s panel judges included Neha Dhupia, former Miss India, Malaika Arora, Shiamak Davar, Dino Morea, the fashion designers Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi, and Mithali Raj, the former Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain, and was hosted by Maniesh Paul.
Also in the event, Neha Dhupia was felicitated on the occasion of her 20th crowning anniversary. Many celebrities like Kriti Sanon, Lauren Gottlieb, and Ash Chandler, were also seen at the event. Kriti Sanon and Lauren Gottlieb also performed on stage.
Former title holders Manasa Varanasi, Manika Sheokand, and Manya Omprakash Singh walked the ramp elegantly and then proceeded to crown their successors.
Neha Dhupia Celebrated Her 20th Crowning Anniversary
Neha Dhupia, apart from being one of the panel judges, is also a former Miss India, and this year she completed 20 years of her crowning. She walked the ramp wearing a beautiful powder pink gown wearing her crown. She was felicitated by the organization and her family including her husband, Angad Bedi, who was also seen on stage.
She was also felicitated by her fellow contestant, Dia Mirza, who penned down a note on the occasion, calling her a fierce, authentic, strong, and beautiful woman. She also talked about how the moment recalls the memories of the ‘priceless experiences’.
Neha Dhupia won Miss India 2002 and in 2003 she debuted in Bollywood with the movie Qayamat: City Under Threat. She was last seen in A Thursday, starring Yami Gautam.
