Swift’s latest offering, Midnights, was released on Friday, 21st of October, and in less than 24 hours, it crashed Spotify. “And before the clock could even strike midnight on October 22nd, Taylor Swift broke the record for the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history. Congratulations, taylorswift13,” tweeted Spotify.
In response, Swift wrote: “How did I get this lucky, having you guys out here doing something this mind-blowing?! Like what even just happened?!”
Some Spotify users also claim that they experienced a significant outage. Although neither Spotify nor Taylor Swift has publically addressed it.
According to Downdetector.com, over 9,000 Indians reported the crash. The crash cannot be a surprise given the massive fan base of TS and the 15-day-long countdown by Spotify.
Swifties went frenzy after the launch making, Midnights the most streamed album within 24hrs in the history of Spotify.

The album consists of 13 songs. The majority of the album has been written by Taylor with Jack Antonoff. With one collaboration featuring Lana Del Rey in the song, Snow On The Beach.

Swift took on Instagram and Twitter and revealed, that there are seven more tracks. “…there were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13.” And she added, “I’m calling them 3am tracks. Lately I’ve been loving the feeling of sharing more of our creative process with you, like we do with From The Vault tracks. So it’s 3am and I’m giving them to you now.”
The Grammy award-winning artist is well aware of her fan base and loves to spill the tea. Her surprise to her fans was a planned process. She has been placing Easter eggs about her albums here and there.
The first announcement about Midnights was during the VMAs on the 28th of August, but the first hint was during her NYU 2022 commencement speech. And guess what? There was a hidden lyric from the upcoming album.
After the release, the fans have their theories. Some say that the Tumbler era has returned, while some say niceboy ed is Joe Alwyn.
After Lover (2019) and Folklore (2020) two years later, this pop megastar gifted her fans the most-awaited and record-breaking album.
