LITTLE WOMEN

The little woman is a novel written by Louisa May Alcott in 1868. Directed by Greta Gerwig. She is also a famous actress.

Little women is a story of 4 girls with different hobbies and dreams. Meg is a tutor, Jo is interested in writing, Beth loves and Amy paints. Their father is in the war. These 4 girls always listen to their mom but they also have so much fun by performing plays. 

The reason it is called little women is that these small girls even after growing up and going in their separate ways come back in the end because there is nothing that can break such precious bonds of the sister who have each other’s best friends for life and have stuck through thick and thin of life.  

THE HELP

Tate Taylor is the director of the movie the help. A 1960s Mississippi is this story, where we see three women of different races break the ugly system of racism. Aibileen and minny and many other colored women after being treated like trash where they worked as maids decide to tell their struggle in the book which is interviewed/ written by skeeter who wants to become a writer and tries to understand their pain and writes in such a way that their names won’t be revealed because there is some dark funny incident which will be so hilarious that you won’t be able to stop your laugh.

LADY BIRD

This is another great hit movie directed by Greta Gerwig in 2017.  Ladybirds portray the rawest natural essence of life. Ladybird’s name is given by Christine to herself. She goes through a series of an episode from trying to love, seeking attention, betrayal, and her hate for herself which is released upon her mother who is trying her best to provide and love her daughter.

But ladybird has her eye fixed on her dreams and she moves to a different country for seeking education which her mom doesn’t agree to but in the end, we will see how ladybird only wanted love and love herself and she soon learns in the end by accepting herself and describing herself by her real name Christine.

MULAN 1998

In a Disney movie directed by Tony Bancroft and Barry Cook, Mulan is famous for her chopping of the hair by the blade. Mulan is a girl who doesn’t fit in the society. Because of the invasion of Huns the enemies, every family is supposed to send a male to fight in the war but because Mulan’s dad is badly injured and is old, she decides to fight by turning herself to look like a boy.

After a lot of sweat and training, the troops and Mulan face the enemies where her true identity comes out and the troops feel betrayed by her lie. But Mulan comes up with a plan and risks everything and saves china with her hair not tied but let loose.

BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM

Gurinder Chadha is the director of the movie and she brings a mix of cultures that will make you laugh and relate to. Jess and Jules are two girls who are a die-hard fan of David Beckham and wants to play like him. Jess’s mom wants her to make the perfect chapati and get married and Jules’s mom wants her to behave like a girl. but these two have their eyes on the ball and bend through all the risks and secretly play football and get trained by joe to reach their goal. 

FRANCES HA

This movie is directed by Noah Baumbach in 2013. Starring Greg Gerwig, Mickey Sumner. Frances ha is a beautiful movie that will show you the struggle of living and trying to survive alone. 

Frances is a dancer and is sharing the room with her best friends Sophie but she has other plans. Frances after that struggles to find a home because of her unstable job. She loses her job, friends, relationships, and tries her best but fails many times and after a while, she rekindles with people. And in the end, we see her fitting herself and being satisfied even if it was meant to fit halfway through, in this complicated world.
