Vicky Kaushal was born on May 16, 1988, in Mumbai to Veena Kaushal and Sham Kaushal the older brother of Sunny Kaushal. He started his journey in the film industry after graduating with an engineering degree. It clicked with him when he realized that engineering was not his cup of tea, and thus enrolled in Kishor Namit Kapoor’s Academy.
During those years, of studying acting, Vicky participated in multiple theatre performances and worked on and off backstage. After working hard all this time, he finally got the chance to work as an assistant director under Anurag Kashyap’s mentorship.
With his fondness and passion for work, he assisted in famous movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Bombay Velvet, and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
Kaushal’s dedication landed him in the lead role in the drama, Masaan. The film was a major hit and received two awards at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. He also won the Best Male Debut award in IIFA and Screen Awards.
The year 2018 was a massive breakthrough year for Kaushal. He was featured in the first original film on Netflix, Love Per Square Foot, a romantic comedy with him being the male lead.
He was also seen as a supporting actor in the film, Sanju, where Ranbir Kapoor played Sanju and Vicky was portrayed as his best friend Kamli.
In addition to that, Vicky also starred in the Indo-Pak spy thriller film Raazi, as Alia Bhatt’s husband. These prime roles kickstarted his career at a high speed.
Vicky became the most demanded actor later on, and thus starred in back-to-back successful films. He was seen in movies and series such as Lust Stories, Manmarziyaan, URI: The Surgical Strike, and Sardar Udham Singh. He is also finished off his current work and will be seen in upcoming movies quite soon enough.
After making a mark on his professional life, Vicky also shared the joyous news of his personal life. He made his relationship with Katrina Kaif public on social media handles by dropping charming pictures of their wedding. On Vicky’s birthday, the couple is enjoying their time in New York with friends and family. Katrina celebrating her husband’s day took a cute picture of them to Instagram with the caption, “New York Wala Birthday 🥳 My ❤️. Simply put ……………… YOU MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER (sic)”. Vicky’s father also didn’t hold back his love and posted a picture with his son mentioning, “Wish u a very Happy Birthday Puttar. Always love & blessings. Feeling blessed & proud to have a son like u. Rab Rakha.” Sunny, Vicky’s younger brother also shared his wishes, “Janamdin Mubarak ho meri Jaan ♥️ @vickykaushal09.” With these wishes, loved ones and fans commented their love for Kaushal all over the social media.
