Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari’s promised magnum opus, has been widely discussed since it was first announced. However, recent reports state that Alia Bhatt, fresh off the success of her recent film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar, has withdrawn from the film starring her husband and actor Ranbir Kapoor due to a scheduling conflict.
This latest turn of events has increased the spotlight on Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari’s most highly anticipated project, well ahead of the film’s scheduled production. It has been reported that Bhatt was interested in participating in this mythological film and was on board with it until she realized she would have to drop out because of scheduling conflicts.
Some of the couple’s devoted fans are heartbroken over the news that Ranbir and Alia Bhatt will no longer be appearing on screen together.
Date Issues For Alia Bhatt

There have been rumors that the film’s production start has been delayed. Some insiders say the production team is getting everything in order and will have all the information they need in plenty of time. The insider shared,
“As far as the casting is concerned, Ranbir Kapoor is still committed to playing Lord Ram, while Alia Bhatt, who was approached for the project, is no longer part of it. The actress was in talks for the role of Goddess Sita, but the collaboration didn’t work out because of date issues.”
They’ve also added that Kannada actor Yash is still very much part of the Ramayana. Earlier rumors also suggested that he had also walked out of the film.
Nitesh Tiwari Earlier Said That He Is Not Going To Offend Anyone

When asked in July if the film will star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Yash, director Nitesh Tiwari remained evasive. A statement would be “made soon,” he said simply. He also mentioned that some individuals might be “offended” by the movie. He disclosed it to Zoom Entertainment.
“My question is very simple. I am also a consumer of the content that I create and if I’m not going to offend myself then I’m very confident that I might not end up offending anybody else.” – Director Nitesh Tiwari
He made this statement in the wake of the controversy surrounding Om Raut’s recent Ramayana adaptation, Adipurush, which stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon.
Actress Kangana Ranaut’s Jibe On Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

Actress Kangana Ranaut had previously commented on the decision to cast Ranbir and Yash in the film. Kangana wrote on Instagram,
“Recently I am hearing news about another coming up Bolly Ramayana… Where a skinny white rat (so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry… known for womanizing and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy (which no one watched or wanted to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama…”
She further said,
“Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man, and a traditionalist, also according to Valmiki ji’s description, looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanor, and facial features, is offered to play Ravana… What kind of Kalyuga is this?? No pale-looking d*****e soy boy should play Lord Rama. Jai Shri Ram 🙏.”
Meanwhile, the Panga actress is going to star in her version of the Ramayana, Sita: The Incarnation.
