Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangady, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Srikant Mohan, Shafeen Patel, and Surya Kasibhatla all play important roles in the film. The film is produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment and directed by Suresh Triveni of Tumhari Sulu fame.
“With every film I make, my objective is to tell a new tale and be a different person from the characters I’ve portrayed so far, and Jalsa ticked those boxes,” Vidya said of the film. Jalsa allowed me to explore the grey, and it was a very tough, enlightening, and rewarding experience for me as an actor. It was also a thrill to work with Suresh again on a film that is so different from our previous collaboration, Tumhari Sulu.”
A little girl is chased by a man in the nearly two-minute trailer, but she is struck by a car. Shefali Shah creates an impression as a strong mother Rukshana (Shefali Shah), who is in no mood to blame her daughter for being out late at night, while the police and a media outlet begin to investigate the situation. A journalist, on the other hand, briefs her supervisor Maya (Vidya Balan) on the story.
While Vidya is enthralled by the story, a man tells her in the trailer’s subsequent scenes, “It’s better to hide a story these days.” “I know everything,” a child says at the end of the trailer. If you give me chocolate, I promise not to tell anyone.”I’m not going to tell anyone.” It also appears to be a battle between truth and lies, redemption and vengeance.
