India is filthy rich with spices and is known for it all around the world. With such abundance and variety of masalas in hand, Indians have added these masalas to their films too, and have successfully reached out to a wider audience and have entertained them. And not just that but the movies are filled up with great actors and actresses who bring life to the story.
Bollywood movies have covered and have mastered all the areas like comedy, action, thriller, drama, commercial and didactic movies with great social messages. But there is one area that seems to be discovered very little. And that is sci-fi. Bollywood now has stepped into an undiscovered area and is coming out of the comfort zone and giving the audience a new perspective and visuals with AI. And this is what John Abraham has intended to do with his new movie called Attack.

The movie “Attack” is an action thriller Indian Hindi language film which is high on science and fiction too. Directed by Lakshaya Raj Anand who co-wrote the film with Vishal Kapoor and Sumit Batheja. The movie is produced by Jayantilal Gada, Ajay Kapoor, and John Abraham.

Even though it’s a fictional story, it is based on true events. It is starring Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham as Arjun Shergill, Rajkul Preet Singh as Dr. Jiyya, Ratna Patakh Sha, and Prakash Raj.
Production & Release Date
The pre-production of the film began in January 2020 and was put on hold because of the unfortunate situation that made the world go halt. But the film resumed back in Feb 2021.
The movie Attack was originally scheduled to be theatrically released worldwide on 14 august 2020. But the film was delayed and rescheduled multiple times but finally, on 3rd Feb 2022, it was officially announced that the film will be released on April 1st, 2022.
Storyline & Synopsis
The movie Attack is a fictional narrative but is based on real-life events which are set against the hostage crisis that brings a nation to its knees. The film attack is a battle/ race against the time where the Attack team is led by the lone ranger Arujun Shergill to rescue.
Arjun Shergill( john Ibrahim) is an army veteran and even though he is fighting a war with his inner demons, he volunteers to become a part of the governmental experiment and becomes a cybertronic humanoid super soldier developed to combat terrorism.
John Abraham Say On The Film
John Abraham is the finest and most diligent actor in the Indian film industry. It is no doubt that his movies are a dose of action and entertainment for all where he has stunned the audience with his acting skills but he has also produced some great movies like Vicky donor where the message of the story was loud and clear, making it win a national film award for providing wholesome entertainment and multiple other movies like force 2 and rocky handsome. And now once again he has come up with another great movie called Attack which he has produced as well as acted as a protagonist in it.
John said that his team has worked hard and created a top-class drama movie that is mounted on a big scale with a chunk of its budget and is going towards slick and rich. For a good film to be worth watching it needs to have a good dedicated budget. This action movie will stand out because it comes with a difference.
His inspiration for Attack was to leave a mark universally because if Hollywood can produce amazing sci-fi movies then why can’t Bollywood. Even though India has produced enormous precious movies with low budgets but because the world is evolving with technology the audience’s eyes are on movies that include technology and AI.
Attack wasn’t made with humongous money but it came out fantastic with just good enough money. The makers of the film said that this film is mounted as a franchise. It is based on a world where future wars will be fought with technology and AI. The main inspiration behind this movie was to show that Indian superheroes like a super-soldier are equivalent to the rest of the popular heroes. And the goal of the movie is to push the Indian stories into the sci-fi genre and encourage the young creative minds of India to experiment and produce even greater sci-fi movies in the future.
This is the first time in Hindi cinema that a fight sequence is choreographed for a song.
Since John Abraham had released the first official trailer of the film the internet has been drawing comparisons between the Hollywood films from the universal soldier franchise and the Hindi films for which he said that future wars will include artificial intelligence and technology.
The actor has already planned to take the movie forward with a squeal- Attack 2. The plan for the sequel was made before the filming of Attack 1 and the script for attack 2 is also ready. Attack is a good film and after watching the movie the Indian audience will be demanding to watch more movies like this with much more advancement added to it.
