Yash Raj Films’ latest movie Pathaan continues its dream run at the box office in India and abroad. The Shah Rukh Khan film is on a record-breaking spree at the domestic and overseas box office, having collected Rs 591 crore gross worldwide and that too, in just six days of its release.
On January 30, a special event was held in Mumbai by YRF to celebrate the record worldwide box office collections of Rs 500 crore of Pathaan. Present at the event were Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and the film’s director Siddharth Anand. The four-spoke about the making of the film and we’re happy that it was received so well by the audience, the critics, and the media.
And now, Pathaan is on its way to collecting Rs 600 crore at the BO!
According to a statement by YRF, “Pathaan, on its 6th day, registered 26.50 crore nett in India (Hindi – 25.50, All Dubbed versions – 1.00 crore), taking the India gross to 32 crores. The overseas gross on day 6 is at 16 crores. It added, “Pathaan, thus, created more records today as it became the fastest Hindi film to breach the 300 crore NBOC barrier, set on Day 6, and also became the 1st Hindi Film to breach the 300 crores nett barrier since the pandemic! With this insane result, all films of YRF’s Spy Universe – Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War & Pathaan are blockbusters!”
Pathaan was released worldwide on January 25. The film stars India’s biggest superstars, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, along with a smashing long cameo by superstar Salman Khan.
Going by the numbers, the box office figure of Rs 1000 crore is not too far for Pathaan!
