Popular K-Pop idol and star member of the septet BTS, Min Yoongi aka Suga, announced his plans to enlist in the military a day after he concluded his last leg of the D-Day concert in Seoul, South Korea. BigHit Music, BTS’s management company, announced the news on Weverse today, saying that Suga had submitted paperwork to have his deferment from military service revoked. The official dates are yet to be announced.
On Sunday, Suga brought his “AGUST D: The Final Tour” to a close, which was his final concert. The concert, which began on August 4 and lasted for three days, was held in Seoul to mark the end of his first solo tour, which began earlier this year in April. The tour was held in celebration of the release of his first official solo album, titled “D-Day.” Kim Namjoon, aka RM, BTS’s rapper and leader, joined Suga on the final day, adding to the fervor and excitement of BTS fans and making the concert an event to remember.
Jin and J-Hope Graced The Concert Held On Sunday
Fans were ecstatic to see the band’s other members, Jin and J-Hope, who are on leave from the military, at the concert to support Suga. The worldwide handsome even shared an Instagram selfie with RM, Suga, and J-Hope, sending the fandom into a frenzy.
Suga moved the crowd with his D-Day setlist and gave a shout-out to Jin and J-Hope during the performance. He thanked Hobi for choreographing a great routine for him and also Jin, saying that he feels especially close to J-Hope when he performs certain songs.
Suga Announces His Military Enlistment Plans

“Hello. This is BigHit Music. We would like to inform our fans that Suga has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. We will inform you of further updates in due course.”

“We ask you for your continued love and support for Suga until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artists. Thank you.”
The Rapper Broke Down At His Seoul Concert
At his concert held on Sunday, Suga was seen crying while performing. He later went to Weverse to hold a live session. As translated by a Twitter user who goes by the username @ryuminating, Suga said,
“I really am not the type to cry, but starting from Snooze, I felt it. The members were there, and my sunbaenims came too. Before, I had dreams while watching many sunbaenims, and now I have become someone’s sunbae. And those 10 years flew past me. And that’s when the tears came.”
Suga Gave Hints About This Concert Being His Last Until 2025
Suga gave a strong hint that his Seoul concert was going to be his last ever. He also mentioned a 2025 reunion with the rest of his bandmates, including RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Suga quipped in his Weverse session past Sunday,
“If I say ‘soon’, that feels like a lie. So let’s see each other again in 2025. All right? Please wait a bit. 2025—let’s see each other then. You did great. Bye!”

Both Jin and J-Hope are currently active duty members of the South Korean armed forces. All able-bodied South Korean males between the ages of 18 and 28 must serve in the military for roughly two years.
