Deepika Padukone, the gorgeous diva, startled the audience with her endearing performances, in movies like Bajirao Mastani, Piku, Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela, Padmaavat, and her recent release Gehraiyaan. She recently shared a set of beautiful pictures of her photoshoot.
Taking to her Instagram, she shared these pictures with her fans. During promotions, she always got creative and made a style statement with her every attire. From a red bodycon leather dress from Milo Maria to a crisp white shirt and loose-fitted trousers by Victoria Beckham’s label. She carried everything with grace and poise.
The Photoshoot
The recent photoshoot was for the famous Bollywood magazine Filmfare. Sharing a total of five pictures, she dons a different look in each of them. Photographed by Duo Vaishnav Praveen and Apeksha Maker of The House Of Pixels. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania along with Lakshmi Lehr, Sabina Halder, and Chandani. The photoshoot took place in Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Deepika for the shoot wore a Yellow Swimsuit by Mezzaluna, a Pink Jacket by Falguni, and Shane Peacock. Followed by a White Swimsuit by Verandah, a Shirt by Koy toy, Black Bralet by Label Jen, Bottoms by KAI Resort Wear. A Feather Jacket by Yousef Aljasmi of Vanda Fashion Agency also was a statement piece. Her Accessories were by Beg Borrow Steal and Shop Lune, with Shoes from Louboutin and Earrings by Vak Jewels.
One of her pictures also included the main leads of the Gehraiyaan cast, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa. They looked stunning and flamboyant.
Her Growth As An Actor
In Gehraiyaan, Deepika’s Alisha is the key character. A 30-year old yoga instructor who feels stuck in her relationship, and doesn’t expect any growth in her work. Coming face to face with difficult situations involving her relationships takes a toll on her overall life. Director Shakun Batra kept the story mainly focused on Alisha, and her dealings with the ups and downs in her life, along with her constant fight with her emotions.
The film is praised by both the audiences and the critics alike. Deepika’s acting was phenomenal. Her caliber as an actor was witnessed again, in her portrayal of Alisha. Her nuanced acting made her stand out among others.
Looking back to the beginning of her film career with Om Shanti Om, we can definitely observe her growth as an actor and a performer. She has come a long way from her first movie. She worked hard and improved her craft to reach the position she is in right now. Her journey is an inspiration for everyone. She proved that hard work and perseverance can take you to greater heights.
After the success of Gehraiyaan, next in her kitty is Siddharth Anand’s Pathan, opposite Sharukh Khan. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Productions, it will also star John Abraham in the negative role. The film is supposed to be released this year and has created a lot of buzzes. Fans even expect a Salman Khan cameo, teasing the much-hyped introduction of the Spy Cinematic Universe, comprising his Tiger franchise as well.
