A boy from Delhi who became Bollywood’s Badshah, the heartthrob of millions, and the success story that continues to give hope to Indians. He has been the biggest success story of Bollywood and remains an inspiration for thousands of strugglers who hope to make it big in the industry.
SRK was born in New Delhi in 1965 and grew up in the Rajendra Nagar neighborhood of the Indian capital. His father Mir Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom fighter from Peshawar and a follower of Abdul Ghaffar Khan, the ‘Frontier Gandhi’. Mir Taj was also a cousin of Shah Nawaz Khan, the major general in Netaji Subhash Chanda Bose’s Indian National Army.
The actor started his career in the entertainment industry with television shows – Fauji and Circus – and made his Bollywood debut with Deewana in 1992. With evergreen classics like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kal Ho Na Ho, Veer Zaara and Mohabbatein credited to his name and a legacy that carries a heavy fan following based around the world.
Although SRK is best known for being Bollywood’s greatest romantic hero, early on in the 1990s, particularly in 1993 and 1994, he garnered a lot of critical and audience acclaim by portraying bad guys and anti-heroes. He played the role of a vengeful murderer in ‘Baazigar’ and a stalker and obsessive lover in ‘Darr’. ‘Baazigar’ got SRK his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor. And ‘Darr’, which gave SRK fans the phrase “I love you, K-k-k-Kiran”, got him a nomination Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. In ‘Anjaam’ (1994), Khan was bestowed with the Filmfare Best Villain Award for playing an obsessive lover’s role.

Pathaan

Shah Rukh Khan broke the Internet when he officially announced Pathaan in March this year. Then again in September, he thrilled his fans with a s a glimpse of his character in the film. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is another collaboration between SRK and Deepika Padukone. The film also stars John Abraham.
Jawan
After Pathaan’s announcement, the actor introduced us to his rather-interesting role in Jawan. This “explosive entertainer”, written and directed by Atlee, is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. An injured face covered with bandages and a spirit to resume the fight, that’s how one can sum up SRK in Jawan teaser and poster. The film will release on June 2 next year in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. SRK will share the screen space with Nayanthara.
Dunki
The actor announced Dunki, co-starring Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani, in a quirky way in April. Rajkumar Hirani and SRK’s first film together will be a Christmas treat to the actor’s fans – Dunki will release on December 22, next year.
Tiger 3
This Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif action-thriller will have a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. In case you didn’t know, Salman will also feature in a special appearance in SRK’s Pathaan.
