Interview with Louisa Warwick

In just a few short years, Louisa Warwick’s journey from the UK to the US has certainly paid off. From her days of being in the UK (where she was an international level cross–country runner) to moving to New York (where she attended New York University), the blonde beauty now works as a successful PR agency owner, fashion model, and influencer. Whether she is running the New York marathon, judging beauty pageants, attending a red carpet, or running her agency, Social Acceleration Group, the radiant blonde is a showstopper with strong career ambitions and shows no signs of slowing down.

Thank you for doing this interview with us! You are the founder of the marketing, advertising & PR agency Social Acceleration Group. How is this going?

The agency is going great. We represent a wide variety of individuals from entrepreneurs to doctors to athletes to fashion models and influencers looking to amplify their voices and get great exposure in the media. We have published clients in outlets including The Daily Mail, Forbes, NY Times, NY Post, Business Insider, and more. We also offer affordable billboards and other social media-related marketing services that help any individual or brand grow and position itself well in its respective market.

Recently you were a guest judge at several beauty pageants including Miss New York, Miss NJ for America, Miss Connecticut USA & Miss Manhattan. How great was it to be a judge? What advice do you have for any contestants looking to compete?

Having the honour of being a judge at these pageants was an incredible and unforgettable experience. I have learned a lot in a short amount of time about the beauty pageant industry.

For any person looking to enter or compete in a pageant, my best advice would be to get an experienced pageant coach and practice, practice, practice. In my opinion, having a high level of confidence on stage is key if you want to score well overall.

You are a successful fashion model having been signed to agencies including Elite Model Management and Wilhelmina over the years. How have you seen the modelling world change over the years?

There have been so many changes in the modelling industry just in the past 10 years (from when I first initially entered the industry). There have been so many changes I could go into details for hours about them. For now, I will just highlight one: I think modelling really has transformed into a game of marketing. Therefore, I think having a comprehensive marketing plan that is executed correctly will significantly help anyone looking to enter the industry and have long-term success.

Today, there are so many social media platforms. Which one is your favourite and why?

My personal favourite for Social Acceleration Group-related work is Twitter and my favourite for personal use/personal influencer projects is Instagram. I think social media can be a great tool for business if executed properly.

As a follower of your Instagram, you frequently post food content. What are some of your favourite dishes? How do you manage to enjoy tasty desserts and continue to look fabulous?

I have a MAJOR sweet tooth- I love crepes, French toast, fudge-covered Oreos, chocolate molten cake, and more. I work out a lot and when I work out, I go hard. If I didn’t work out, I don’t think I could eat as many chocolatey things as I do!

You also have a fantastic sense of style. What would you say about your wardrobe and how you dress?

Thank you! I’m not a big fan of shopping so when I do spend, I like to invest in simple, classic, timeless pieces that I can wear for a long time.

With so many incredible brands out there, in general, I only purchase items that I love. Many pieces in my closet that I regularly wear I have had for 10+ years!

What is your skincare routine?

I use a cream-based cleanser morning and evening to wash my face. I then use a vitamin C serum, Hyaluronic acid serum, and the Youth Elixir Stem Cell Serum by Darya Hope on my skin. Sometimes in the morning if I am tired and need a little more than just tea to wake me up, I use 111 Skins Rose Gold Illuminating Eye Mask under my eyes for 10-15 minutes.

What supplements do you currently take?

I currently take a probiotic, fish oil, and a multivitamin on a daily basis.

What does your morning routine look like?

I like to wake up at around 8 am and start my day with English breakfast tea (with milk in it). I usually start work around 8.30 am. I work with people in the UK so by the time my day starts it is their afternoon.

For breakfast, I usually eat 2 eggs, an avocado, mixed berries, and some form of protein (usually bacon, salmon, or chicken).

You mentioned you work out a lot. What is your exercise routine?

I currently work out five to six times a week. I like to run 4 to 7 miles in Central Park up to four times a week, I go to the gym for an hour or two twice a week and I go to a HIIT class like SLT Tread or Barry’s Bootcamp once or twice a week.

You’ve completed the New York Marathon twice. Your time is 3 hours and 23 minutes. Do you intend to run any more marathons?

I currently do not have any plans to run any more marathons! That may change in the future, but for now, I am just training 6 times a week for my personal mental and physical health. Running a marathon is a huge commitment that requires a significant change in lifestyle for 12 months of preparation. That being said, if I set a new marathon goal, there’s a chance I may do it again in the future.

Moving forward, what plans do you have for the future (besides possibly running a marathon)?

I plan on just continuing to work hard on my various business ventures and see where life takes me.
