The popular Hollywood couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married on Saturday after 20 years of romance. The ceremony took place at the Little White Wedding Chapel with their 5 respective children present. The couple got their marriage license in Clark County, Nevada.
The news was confirmed by Lopez via her official newsletter, On the JLo, where she shared some pictures from her big day. Along with the photos, she shared a heartwarming note where she talked about the love they both shared and also gave a little sneak peek into the ceremony. She ended the note by signing off as Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
Lopez wore a dress from an old movie and Affleck brought a jacket from his closet.

Jennifer and Ben met each other when they worked together on the film Gigli, in 2001. At the time Jennifer was married to Cris Judd. in the summer of 2002, the married couple filed for a divorce, and shortly after Ben and Jennifer were seen dating publicly. In November, Affleck proposed, but the couple called off their wedding, which was supposed to take place on September 14, 2003, due to the ‘excessive media attention’ that hindered their relationship. The couple officially broke up in January 2004.
However, 17 years later, the couple rekindled their romance and were engaged for the second time in early April. Lopez posted a video of her sobbing and showing her green engagement ring. This news was special to all the Bennifer fans, who had been rooting for them. JLo talks about this twenty-year time period in her note in the newsletter, calling their love ‘patient’.
During this time apart, the pair were married to other people and had children. Lopez married Marc Anthony in 2004, but the marriage ended in 2014. She is a mother to 14-years old twins Emme and Max from her marriage to Anthony. In March 2021, she also called off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez. Affleck was also married to Jennifer Garner and is a father to three children – Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Lately, the couple was in the news as they purchased an estate in Bel Air last month worth $55 million.
They both have been snapped together including the time when the Marry Me actress was spotted visiting Ben Affleck during the set of his latest movie. Ben is also reported to be returning as Batman in Andres Muschietti’s The Flash, which is set to release in November 2022. He was last seen in Deep Water, which was released earlier this year. Jennifer Lopez is expected to be seen in Shotgun Wedding, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
