Katrina Kaif starrer upcoming film Phone Bhoot is a horror comedy that is set to be released on October 7, 2022. Also starring Ishaan Khattar and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the main lead, Phone Bhoot is directed by Gurmeet Singh, well known for his project ‘Mirzapur’, and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s banner Excel Entertainment. Jackie Shroff, Sheeba Chaddha, Nidhi Bisht and Surender Thakur will also be seen in this film.
Announcement
The release date of the film was announced on Katrina Kaif’s Instagram where she shared the first poster of the film. The poster features Katrina Kaif in a quirky new look with bangs along with Siddhant Chaturvedi smiling and Ishaan Khattar in a worried look wearing specs. The poster also includes Jackie Shroff in a ‘tantric’ outfit, calling this movie ‘Ek Bhayanak Comedy’.
The movie was earlier supposed to be released in 2021 but due to the COVID-19, the release date is now pushed to October 7, 2022.
Teaser
A day before the announcement of the poster, the actors also posted a teaser on their social media introducing the cast and crew of the film. The 30-second teaser features a classic representation of the ghost of a woman in a white saree who gets hit by a car. The animated logo of the movie is also introduced in the teaser.
This supernatural comedy has already created a lot of buzz among the audience.
BTS From The Horror Comedy
Earlier Katrina Kaif has also shared a lot of Behind The Scenes photos on Instagram. One of them was a photoshoot that she posted in 2020. The caption hints that the trio can be seen playing the role of ghostbusters in the movie.
On the very same day, the behind-the-scenes video of the shoot was also posted on her Instagram with the caption ‘One fine day – BTS’ along with some emoticons representing a phone and ghost.
Katrina also shared some BTS pictures from the sets of Phone Bhoot, which is a thread of photos of the trio chilling with the producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
Other Works
On the work front, Katrina will be seen on-screen with Salman Khan in the third installment of the Tiger series. Her other projects include Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi and have also been signed to star in the movie, Jee Le Zara where she’ll be sharing the big screen with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
Siddhant Chaturvedi will be next seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan, which is directed by Zoya Akhtar and also stars Ananya Pandey.
Ishaan Khattar’s next film Pippa, starring Mrunal Thakur is up for release.

As for Katrina Kaif, she was last seen in Sooryavanshi released in 2021, the movie was her first film released after the pandemic.
