Kiara Advani stole the spotlight as she walked the ramp for the renowned fashion designer duo, Falguni and Shane Peacock, during the opening show of India Couture Week 2023. The event kicked off in a dazzling fashion as the designers unveiled their latest collection, with Kiara Advani as the stunning show-stopper.
The Bollywood diva effortlessly glided down the runway, looking every bit like a fashionable Barbie doll in her exquisite pink ensemble. Prior to her appearance, the runway had showcased a mesmerizing array of glimmering wedding wear in soft pastel shades such as ivory, light pink, beige, and gold. However, Kiara’s outfit brought a burst of neon vibes to the stage, featuring a heavily-embellished blouse paired with a thigh-slit skirt that beautifully hugged her enviable frame and accentuated her curves. The skirt itself was adorned with a shimmering array of sequins, beads, crystals, and acrylic flowers, all in the same hue, exuding sheer elegance. Completing the look was a bralette-style top with a plunging neckline, adorned with delicate tassels.
Her show-stopping attire was complemented with unicorn-hued heels and radiant pink makeup. To let the outfit shine on its own, Kiara decided to go without any jewelry, except for the eye-catching engagement ring that she proudly flaunted.
The timing of her bright pink ensemble couldn’t have been more perfect, aligning with the release of the film “Barbie” and the rising trend of Barbiecore in the fashion world. Falguni and Shane Peacock’s collection, named “Renaissance Reverie,” artfully merged Indian craftsmanship with the essence of the Renaissance era. The designers showcased an exquisite range of lehengas with diverse silhouettes and stylishly accented blouses, setting the stage for some daring and noteworthy trends for future brides.
Furthermore, the designer duo also predicted a forthcoming shift in grooms wear with their maximalist, rhinestone-embellished ensembles, signaling a departure from conventional styles.
India Couture Week 2023 boasts an impressive lineup of other renowned couturiers, including Varun Bahl, Tarun Tahiliani, Ritu Kumar, Rahul Mishra, and Gaurav Gupta. The fashion extravaganza will culminate with Rahul Mishra’s highly anticipated show on August 2nd.
