Oppo’s Reno series has been the company’s flagship offering in India since 2019. The formula for Reno Pro models has been pretty straightforward so far — slim bodies + curved displays + superior camera quality and very fast charging.
The OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom as well as the Reno 2 series managed to win everyone’s heart but OPPO kind of went out of the track with the innovations in Reno 3 Pro and so on. However, with 5 Pro, 6 Pro, and 6 Pro 5G it’s now back in the business.
The new SoC in the Reno 7 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MAX comprises 3 GHz ARM Cortex – A78 which can achieve up to 5100 Mbps of downlink and 700 Mbps of max uplink speed.
One of the many unique features this device holds is a blue Orbit Breathing Light around the camera module that lights upon receiving a call or while charging it. The design dazzles you with sharp edges which are different from the regular round edges of Reno 7. With a 6.5-inch full HD+AMOLED screen with gorilla glass 5. The screen supports a refresh rate of 90 hertz but it would have been great if it would have had 120 hertz.
Under the hood, it comes with a 12 gigabyte of R.A.M. and 256 gigabytes. Along with that, it comes with a diamond city 100 which is a very fast chip-set based on a 6-nanometer process and as it’s a 5G device the Reno 7 Pro comes with 10 bands of 5G. The phone can go on for 36 hours on a single charge with its 4500mAh battery, its 65W fast charger just takes 30-35 mins to fill the battery 100%.
It comes with a ColorOS 12 but is still based on Android 11, not Android 12, and for this oppo, the team is providing this device with the next two Android updates and three years of security updates.
The shiny glittery back apart from the unique camera hump surrounded by a breathing light strip features a panda glass protection accompanied by a premium smudge-proof matte finish which just plays around with light-producing beautiful shades. Reno 7 Pro 5G comes with two color options- Starlight Black and Startrails Blue, we bet you’ll end up playing with those shades of color.
Oppo smartphones have always been camera-centric and oppo says that the main camera sensor is a Sony sensor which was co-developed by oppo specifically for the Reno 7 which houses a camera hump featuring a 50MP main camera accompanied by a new Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/1.8 lens. With such power, there’s also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter with a 2MP macro shooter.
Pictures captured with the 50MP lens have a superior demonstration of vibrant colors which just feels real and similar to what we see, images from wide-angle were a little dull but I’m 100% sure anyone will fall in love with its night mode.
Featuring the quickest, smoothest, and most detailed interface compared to other smartphones in its segment without a shadow of a doubt this device can be called a “portrait expert”. Optical stability is impressive with the stability and clarity it provides
The front camera is a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera with UFS 3.1 and oppo claims with its improved enhancement it’s able to capture 60% more light than usual.
The handset looks sleek with a display fingerprint scanner the boxy look feels like a bit Apple iPhone-inspired design and not only that Reno 7 Pro 5G also features Omoji feature which is again similar to Memoji avatars offered by Apple.
