In a release shared by Yash Raj Films (YRF) this afternoon, the latest box office update on Pathaan is that it is the first Hindi film to have collected Rs.100 crore on Day 1 at the Worldwide Box Office. Yes, Pathaan is the FIRST Bollywood film to do so!
Never before has a Hindi film collected more than Rs.100 crore on the first day of release. That amount was something people achieved in a week or two. But now, with Yash Raj Films’ ambitious production Pathaan, a new trend has been set of entering the ‘100 crore club’ on the opening day! The film collected a total of USD 4.5 million worldwide on January 25 (the first day).

With an incredible $4.5M debut in the international markets, Pathaan has also registered the biggest opening day for a Hindi film overseas! Also, Pathaan becomes the first Hindi film to collect more than 100 crore gross in a single day! Pathaan has destroyed the Worldwide Opening Day Records for Hindi Films as it made 106 Crore gross/$12.77 Million Worldwide on 1st Day!”

YRF added, “On Day One in the overseas territories, Pathaan scripted the biggest opening day ever in North America, United Kingdom & Ireland, Australia, U.A.E., G.C.C, Germany, Sweden, Russia, CIS, Finland & Nepal for a Hindi Film.”
Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the lead. The film has important roles of Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia along with a never-seen-before cameo by superstar Salman Khan as Tiger, as part of the YRF Spy Universe creation.
