In one of the stills of Pathaan, the Bollywood superstar is seen performing a bike stunt atop a jeep in snow. After his dancing on top of a moving train in Dil Se’s iconic Chhaiya Chhaiya song with Malaika Arora back in the nineties, this is probably one of the most talked about stunts of Shah Rukh Khan. SRK on doing action films at 57
Speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival on December 1, Shah Rukh Khan is reported to have said about Pathaan and his turn to action films, “I’ve never done an action film. I’ve done some really sweet love stories, some social dramas, some bad guys but nobody was taking me for action. I am 57 years old, so I thought, for the next 10 years I’m going to do action films.”
Pathaan director on the action sequences for the big screen
Pathaan director Siddharth Anand revealed in a statement that the lavish action sequences of the film were shot in eight countries, namely Spain, the UAE, Turkey, Russia and Siberia, Italy, France, Afghanistan, and back home in India.
Pathaan will indeed be spectacular on screen and apt for a theatrical watch, with a showdown between SRK and John Abraham, and the appealing beauty as well as action sequences of leading lady Deepika Padukone.
Siddharth Anand said, “Locations always play a huge role in my films and they became even more important for Pathaan as we intended to deliver an action spectacle for audiences that they have never seen before. To achieve that scale and variation in visuals we went to 8 countries to shoot the film and its lavish action sequences! We were clear that every scene of Pathaan needs to be breath-taking and we meticulously went about planning to achieve this. I remember the pre-production of Pathaan took close to two years because we wanted to be absolutely sure that we are going to try and raise the bar of action spectacles in India.”
He added, “We have shot in some of the most remote and most exquisite locations in the world that have helped us create a visual experience that is immersive and outlandish. I simply hope that audiences love our effort to create a cinematic milestone when Pathaan releases in theatres on January 25.”

Pathaan is produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) and is all set to release in theaters on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is an important film for Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, as well as YRF, who have been waiting for success at the box office in recent times.
