Beacon Hills has howled once again to its pack, but this time Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) have a few new faces joining them. However, the duo has changed a lot since we last saw them on Teen Wolf the show.
It’s been five years now since the show ended back in 2017. With the period we can see a bit of change in the personalities of the duo but the love and energy of them for Teen Wolf are still the same.
Creator Jeff Davis at EW’s Comic-Con on Thursday said that “These two are back in a big way and we get to see them in their lives later and I can tell you it’s a jump in the time ahead so we see an older Scott McCall. Scott McCall is now older than Tyler Posey.”
“And I have always been older than Scott McCall,” adds Tyler Posey. “It’s very weird. It’s cool but it’s nice. I have always played a teenager my entire life so now it’s nice to play a 30-plus-year-old.”
Teen Wolf – Storyline
The Movie’s tagline reads: “In Teen Wolf The Movie, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”
Allison Argent’s Return
About the return, Allison Argent who had succumbed to a stab wound at the hands of Oni’s sword in season 3 is revealed to be back from the dead. The first teaser of the upcoming Teen Wolf Movie showcased the return of Crystal Reed along with the show’s original cast.
“I wanted to make sure I did the character justice,” said the creator Jeff Davis at the Teen Wolf panel reported by Variety. “Having her back was amazing,” he added. “I texted Crystal, ‘We don’t have a story yet. I mostly have the ideas but I have always said if I were going to do a movie, I would bring back Allison.’ She texted back and said that she burst into tears. She was in from that moment.”
Wolf Mysteries Unveiled
As per the report, the teaser reveals that Allison is back from the grave under mysterious circumstances. After the footage of all the original characters struggling to fight the new enemies with a bombastic narrator predicting their downfall, the teaser ends with Scott meeting Allison’s father Chris Argent in the hospital. He informs him that Allison is alive which is followed by footage of Crystal Reed walking in the rain, equipped with a bow and arrow.
Moreover, the panel of Davis, Hoechlin, and Posey also revealed that now that the story moves ahead in time Scott is now 50 and left Beacon Hills and is living in Los Angeles where he is living a ‘normal-lonely’ life. Whereas Derek has a son and has his ups and downs in life. But now for the most important person in the room, where is Stiles?
Dylan’s Return
Dylan O’Brien is not making a return to the show but that doesn’t mean his character has gone good. “The movie does answer the question of what happened to ‘Stydia’ so you’re going to have to watch says the maker Jeff Davis. He also added that “While Stiles isn’t in the movie, is ever present in the movie.
These characters all leave an influence so there’s no way we could have done it without mentioning him or at least referencing him, but all the other characters are there too. You’ll see some familiar faces.’’
The movie is said to be released by October 2022.
