Yash Raj Films (YRF) continues its dream run at the box office with its latest release, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. The film, which has already broken several records at the domestic and overseas box office, has now collected a massive Rs 700 crore gross worldwide in its first nine days.
YRF said in a statement, “Pathaan, on its 9th day, registered an incredible 15.65 crore nett in India (Hindi – 15 crore, All Dubbed versions – 0.65 crores). In 9 days, Pathaan has recorded $31.85 million (259.6 crores) in the overseas territories alone, while nett collection in India stands at 364.15 crores (Hindi – 351 crore, Dubbed – 13.15 crore)!”
On its eighth day, Pathaan had garnered Rs 667 crore worldwide.
“Pathaan, on its 8th day, registered an insane 18.25 crore nett in India (Hindi – 17.50 crore, All Dubbed versions – 0.75 crores). In 8 days, Pathaan has recorded $30.60 million (250 crores) in the overseas territories alone, while nett collection in India stand at 348.50 (Hindi – 336 crore, Dubbed – 12.50 crore),” said YRF
With these figures, Pathaan has now become the highest-grossing film of the newly announced YRF Spy Universe, a brainchild of filmmaker Aditya Chopra. As of 2023, all films of the YRF Spy Universe – Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan – are blockbusters.

Pathaan was released on January 25, 2023, in theatres. Details of its OTT release are not out yet.
Pathaan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the lead, with a cameo by superstar Salman Khan. Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana star in important roles in the spy thriller.
The movie has been appreciated for its action sequences, acting, songs, and background music as well as cinematography.
If Pathaan continues in theatres throughout February 2023, the film may go on to collect Rs 1,000 crore at the box office globally. It seems that these figures can be achieved, as there are hardly any major releases in cinemas this month, with Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzaada also being postponed by a week to release on February 17.
