On Monday, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ayan Mukerji launched their new song Deva Deva from their upcoming film Brahmastra. The film narrates the story of the Astraverse in which Ranbir plays the part of Shiva and Alia appears as Isha, his love interest. With the beautiful voice of Arijit Singh, the song captures the essence of Ranbir’s Agni Astra journey.
Shiva’s Discovery
In Deva Deva, Ranbir is seen discovering his powers and decoding his connection to the world of astras. The song begins with Ranbir asking Amitabh Bachchan who plays Guru Arvind, “Sir why am I connected to this world of Astra?’’ Big B then explains to Ranbir his connection to the world of Astra and his being an Agni Astra (fire Astra).
The song shows the power-proof side of Ranbir as he explores his fire connection. All about praising Lord Shiva, the earworm is a complete package of eye-catching visuals.
Deva Deva
A segment of the song also features Alia Bhatt accompanying him in a dense forest of snow-capped mountains. The song is composed by Pritam, sung by the soulful voice of Arijit Singh along with Jonita Gandhi and the lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Sharing the video of the song on her Instagram Alia wrote, “Feel the Fire within Deva Deva out now!!!” Reacting to which fans have replied, “Arijit…is irreplaceable no one in this world can sing so soulfully except him.” “OMG…Deva Deva… Goosebumps” another one added to the comments. This is the second song of the film sung by Arijit Singh and is already receiving immense love and appreciation.
Talking about the song Ayan Mukherjee the director of Brahmastra said, “A song in which our protagonist Shiva finally unlocks his powers. And in doing this, he fills all the fire around him with divine energy.
Like Lord Shiva sitting cross-legged in dhyana (meditation), the first image of meditation in this entire Universe. A Song in which our hero Shiva achieves his potential by understanding that to control the fire outside, he needs to first…Feel the fire within.”

The film marks the first collaboration of the couple Alia and Ranveer as husband and wife. The film will also star Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
