By the public voting, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti become this year’s winners of Love Island, winning £50,000 prize money. After the announcement of the winners, Cülcüloğlu got a little teary-eyed while Sanclimenti shared his surprise. The other pairs who came in the second, third, and fourth are Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page respectively.
This season of Love Island was a huge success as per the ratings, making it the biggest launch episode since 2019. ITV, the network, has also confirmed the return of Love Island in 2023 as a winter series in South Africa and one in Mallorca as a summer series.
The pair had incredible chemistry and a passionate relationship. This year the prize money was not at stake for any one of the winning couples to ‘steal’, which disappointed fans as they were hoping for this segment eagerly.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti
The winning couple gained a lot of fame from Love Island. But let’s find out who they are.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is a Turkish Essex-based actress. She joined the show in hopes of finding her love of life.
Davide Sanclimenti is an Italian business owner from Rome, currently residing in Manchester. He was looking for his ‘soulmate’ on the show.
The pair had ‘love’ in common and that is what made them win. Initially, the couple faced some hiccups, but in the end, they both found each other in the very first week of the competition.
‘Least’ Compatible Couple
From the beginning of the competition, the two had all the qualities of the winner, even after being voted the ‘least compatible couple’ by the islanders. Not only in the competition did they prove to be a great couple, but their relationship was also approved by their parents.
The two thanked their fans for the amount of love the public showed them by helping them secure the first position.
They had some adorable moments in the show including Davide’s unconventional approach to the baby challenge. Their brief separation could not continue for long, but it made fans sad.
Love Island
The popular dating TV show has had a huge fanbase ever since it started airing in 2015. The show’s format follows a social experiment of isolating people in a house for a particular period. This enables the people to come closer mainly romantically, but also in many other ways.
The reality show attracts a lot of audiences every season. Usually, the contestants are not the most popular personalities, but when they come out they gain popularity. The show promotes many activities like salsa dancing etc. that can help develop relationships stronger.
The show airs six nights a week for a total of eight weeks. The contestants aren’t privy to the social world while in isolation but their friends and family make it easier for their fans to connect with their social lives.
Liam Reardon and Millie Court were the winners of the previous season with public voting of 42.02%.
