Actor Parth Samthaan’s decision to quit television for other mediums was nothing short of a gutsy and calculated move. With his big Bollywood debut on the horizon, the actor says,

“Yes, it was a conscious decision to stay away from TV and switch to OTT platforms and films.”

Parth, who is going to make his debut in the much-awaited film Ghudchadi alongside Sanjay Dutt, is quite excited to be starring alongside the veteran actor. The 32-year-old actor calls it an “incredible opportunity” and further adds,

“It’s a dream come true for me, and I’m eager to showcase my versatility on the big screen.”

For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt will be playing Parth’s father in Ghudchadi.

The Actor Dishes On His Sudden Move From One Screen To Another

Parth states,

“Somewhere or the other, creative space takes over, and there comes a point when you need to put your foot down. It’s not easy, and it will never be because you have to leave your comfort zone. You have to start from scratch. But still, I wanted to take that chance. Even before getting into television, I wanted to do films ever since I was a kid.”

His decision to leave television was met with a range of reactions and emotions from his fans, friends, and even family, but the actor remains committed to pursuing new opportunities in the entertainment industry. Parth continued,

“My mom still misses watching me on TV because she used to see me every day on the show. She keeps saying, ‘Beta TV karle, mujhe dikhaayi nahi de raha hai tu.’ But  that’s somewhere you need to make up your mind and do something you really want to do.”

Conclusion

The Pyaar Tune Kya Kia star, who is moving on to new projects, recognizes the importance of being visible on social media and other platforms as he enters a new era in his career. The actor, who has four million Instagram followers, says that this is the way the world is now and that people just have to get used to it.

Parth Samthaan was last seen in the Netflix original series Social Currency. As an introvert, he stood out on the show as an underdog against the likes of Bhavin Bhanushali, Vagmita Singh, Ruhi Singh, Rowhi Rai, and others who are big in the social media world.
