In the new trailer of Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse, the prequel from 2018 was shown. The standard has unquestionably been raised.
The trailer shows a slightly older Miles Morales talking to his mother, who is worried for him. A series of flashbacks followed that took us to the first part as the trailer showed new visuals where Miles and Gwen Stacy, played by Hailee Steinfeld met. After Miles Morales reunited with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse to meet different versions of the superhero.
But as the heroes clash on handling their new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero so that he can save the people he loves most.
The trailer brings back the favorite shot from the first movie that showed Miles floating in the air, and the camera is inverse.
Flashes of Issa Rae’s motorcycle-riding Spider-Woman are also shown. There’s also Jorma Taccone’s villain Vulture and Oscar Isaac’s brutal Spider-Man from 2099. The trailer then jumps back to Miles being attacked by the other Spider-Men as Miles and Gwen ponder over who the real heroes are.
